Bandar seri begawan: The International Day of Persons with Disabilities celebrated every 3rd of December was enlivened with the Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Bridge and the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium illuminated in purple lights. The two landmarks were lit up in purple starting from 8 in the evening to 12 midnight as a show of support towards the celebration.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the lighting of these prominent structures aimed to raise awareness and promote an inclusive society for all. The purple illumination symbolizes a commitment to improving the lives of persons with disabilities and ensuring their rights and participation in all aspects of life.
