Bandar seri begawan: The Public Works Department has announced that the water supply system in several catchment areas is still in the recovery phase following the resumption of operations at the Layong and Bukit Barun Water Treatment Plants. Efforts to refill main tanks, including the Meragang Tank, are ongoing to stabilize the water supply system in stages. According to Radio Television Brunei, the Public Works Department detected leaks in the main transmission pipeline, impacting the system's ability to distribute water supply optimally to RPN Kampung Meragang. Repair works were completed on the same day, and the system is now in the recovery phase as efforts continue to restore water supply. To assist affected residents, the Department has provided Blue Tanks and Standing Pipe to ensure access to water during this period.
