Brunei: The delegations tasked with the sighting of the new moon of Ramadhan 1447 Hijrah, which included Awang Haji Shaharuddin Khairul bin Haji Anuar, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Infrastructure, Housing and Professional at the Ministry of Development, Syar'ie Judges, and officers from various governmental departments, were unable to sight the new moon.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the delegations were positioned at several strategic locations across Brunei Muara District, Tutong District, and Belait District. Despite their efforts, the new moon was not visible, marking an unsuccessful attempt to sight the new moon for the commencement of Ramadhan.
