161 students were awarded under Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD-Zhejiang University, ZJU Joint Scholarship Programme and 145 students under Institute of Brunei Technical Education, IBTE-Lanzhou Petrochemical University of Vocational Technology, LPUVT Joint Scholarship Programme. 108 youths signed the scholarship agreement.
Present was Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, Minister of Education. Also present was Her Excellency Yu Hong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam. 34 students from UBD and 74 students from IBTE signed the scholarship programmes.
Also held was a donation presentation amounting 50 thousand dollars to Pusat Ehsan Al- Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam for the centre’s development. The donation was presented by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Hengyi Industries to Pengiran Datin Hajah Noraini Pengiran Dipa Negara Laila Diraja binti Pengiran Haji Abd Momin, Executive Trustee of Pusat Ehsan.
