Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD hopes to produce a generation that is educated, highly skilled, have a Bruneian identity and global characteristics, with a sense of identity and high spiritual values and firmly adheres to the philosophy of Malay Islamic Monarchy. 261 new students for the 2022/2023 Academic session attended the four-day Fresher’s Week launched yesterday morning.
Dr. Awang Hazri bin Haji Kifle, UBD’s Vice-Chancellor in his speech hopes that all students can instill and foster leadership qualities and values, self-reliance, entrepreneurship and innovation to become highly skilled individuals and future-ready. UBD also introduced the Quranic Journey programme for muslim students.
Also held was the Student Representative Council Exhibition – UBD Students Association which highlights the activities of bodies and clubs aimed at providing the new students with the opportunity to join a club throughout their years in UBD.
