Bandar seri begawan: Undergraduates of the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Qur'an Institute are encouraged to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a tool to enhance learning and creativity, but not as a replacement for human intellect and creativity. This guidance was imparted during the Acceptance of New Undergraduates Ceremony held at the Institute.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Rector of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University and a Board Member of the Tahfiz Al-Qur'an Institute, emphasized in his speech the potential negative impacts of using AI for unhealthy purposes, such as the dissemination of false information. The ceremony marked the acceptance of 28 male and 16 female students for the 'Aliyah Qiraat Higher Diploma level for the 4th Intake of the 2026-2029 Academic Session.
