Sultan of Brunei Chairs Critical Board Meetings of BSP and BSM

Bandar seri begawan: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, expressed appreciation for the comprehensive discussions on the business plans of Brunei Shell Petroleum Sendirian Berhad (BSP) and Brunei Shell Marketing Sendirian Berhad (BSM). These discussions are vital for navigating the companies through an evolving economic and energy landscape. His Majesty stressed the importance of maintaining competitiveness and resilience to ensure the long-term success of the companies.

According to Radio Television Brunei, His Majesty delivered these remarks while chairing the 417th Board of Directors Meeting of BSP and the 195th Board of Directors Meeting of BSM for the Fourth and Final Quarter of 2025. The meetings were held at the Prime Minister’s Office building. His Majesty further emphasized prioritizing safety, leadership, and capability development, including nurturing talent and fostering a high-performance culture. This focus is deemed critical for enhancing future performance and supporting national aspirations.

Upon arrival, His Majesty was welcomed by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, and Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd. Hanifah, Deputy Minister for Energy at the Prime Minister’s Office, both serving as members of the BSP and BSM Board of Directors. The meeting began with a recitation of Doa and addressed key issues such as safety, operational performance, financials, manpower development, and business planning for both companies. Key stakeholders, including Shareholder Directors from the Government of His Majesty and Shell plc, as well as management members from BSP and BSM, attended the meeting. This meeting concluded the Brunei Shell Joint Venture Companies and Brunei Gas Carriers Board Meetings for the Fourth Quarter of 2025.
