Bandar seri begawan: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, welcomed His Excellency Budi Gunadi Sadikin, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, at the Istana Nurul Iman. The meeting took place during His Excellency’s one-day working visit to Brunei Darussalam aimed at bolstering bilateral relations, particularly in the health sector.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the visit emphasized collaborative efforts to enhance healthcare service quality, develop healthcare workforce capacity, and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices between Brunei and Indonesia. A significant outcome of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on health cooperation, underscoring the commitment of both nations to advance and improve healthcare systems for their mutual benefit.
His Excellency Budi Gunadi Sadikin was accompanied by His Excellency Profesor Doctor Achmad Ubaedillah, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Brunei Darussalam, and Yuli Farianti, Deputy Health Minister of the Republic of Indonesia. Also present at the Audience Ceremony was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health in Brunei. The visit included a tour of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital, further cementing the collaborative spirit between the two countries in the realm of healthcare.
