Bandar seri begawan: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, on 10th November afternoon received in audience His Excellency Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar. The meeting took place at Istana Nurul Iman as part of His Excellency’s three-day working visit to Brunei.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the visit aims to strengthen existing cooperation and explore new areas of collaboration for the benefit of both Brunei Darussalam and the State of Qatar. Diplomatic relations between the two nations were established on 2nd October 1991. The event was attended by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohammad Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohd Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office.

His Excellency Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi was accompanied by His Excellency Abdullah Hamad Ali Al-Adham Al-Marri, Ambassador-Designate of the State of Qatar to Brunei Darussalam, as they met with the Sultan to discuss bilateral relations and potential areas for enhanced collaboration.
