The Country’s Haj Pilgrims Perform Wuquf

Makkah: Brunei Darussalam haj pilgrims on 26th May joined haj pilgrims from all over the world to perform one of the pillars of haj, namely Wuquf in Arafah. Wuquf is a religious act that gathers haj pilgrims on the field of Arafah on the 9th Zulhijjah, also known as the Day of Arafah. This religious act is carried out after midday which is during zuhur prayer, Makkah time on the 9th Zulhijjah.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the pilgrims from Brunei participated in this significant ritual, which is considered one of the most crucial components of the haj pilgrimage. Wuquf, a vital practice in the haj journey, involves standing in contemplation and prayer on the plains of Arafah, symbolizing a moment of reflection and devotion for pilgrims.

The haj pilgrimage, which draws Muslims from various corners of the globe, sees participants come together in a profound spiritual gathering. The observance of Wuquf is seen as a key act of worship and is pivotal for the completion of the haj rituals. As the pilgrims stood on the plains of Arafah, they engaged in prayers and supplications, marking a significant highlight of their spiritual journey.
