The Miracles of Charity Highlighted in Friday Sermon

Bandar seri begawan: Muslims are encouraged to give charity and help each other. The practice of giving charity and spending wealth in the way of Allah SWT indeed promises many advantages, including the forgiveness of sins. This was highlighted in the Friday Sermon titled 'Keajaiban Sedekah' or the Miracles of Charity.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the Khatib shared that one who frequently gives charity will be rewarded by Allah SWT with better rewards and open doors of sustenance for their sincerity. Giving charity has great benefits and, by the will of Allah, may become a means of warding off calamities, bringing forth remedies, and serving as medicine for illness. Those who frequently give charity will be protected by Allah SWT on the Day of Judgment, be helped and protected from the punishment of Hellfire, and have a special gate to Paradise prepared for them.

The sermon emphasized that giving charity cultivates noble character by eliminating arrogance, greed, and selfishness, purifying the soul from the excessive love of worldly possessions. The Khatib urged Muslims to cultivate generosity and guide themselves against miserliness.
