Timor-Leste Prime Minister Concludes Official Visit to Brunei

Bandar seri begawan: His Excellency Kay Rala Xanana Gusmo, Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, and his delegation departed from Bandar Seri Begawan after completing an official visit to the country. The farewell ceremony took place at Brunei International Airport.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the Prime Minister was seen off by several high-ranking officials. Present at the airport were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, the Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism, who served as the Minister-in-attendance. Also in attendance were Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Haji Mohammed Saifullah bin Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Royal Brunei Police Force.

Before boarding his special aircraft, Prime Minister Gusmo passed through a Static Guard of Honor, which was mounted by personnel from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces. This formal departure marked the conclusion of his official engagements in Brunei.
