Bandar seri begawan: Several higher learning institutions and schools conducted a National Flag Hoisting Ceremony on 16th February in celebration of Brunei Darussalam's 42nd National Day.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) held its ceremony at the Chancellor Hall, attended by Dr. Hazri bin Haji Kifle, the Vice-Chancellor of UBD. Organized by the Student Affairs Division, the event aimed to bring together university staff and students in a spirit of unity to commemorate the National Day.

Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA) also hosted a flag hoisting ceremony at the university premises. Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Rector of UNISSA, was in attendance. The event was organized to instill a patriotic spirit among UNISSA residents, fostering a sense of love for the country.

A similar ceremony took place at the compound in front of the Politeknik Brunei building. Officiated by Pengiran Doctor Saiful Baharin bin Pengiran Haji Duraman, Acting Director of Politeknik Brunei, the ceremony aimed to enhance the internalization of the country's independence and strengthen the spirit of patriotism among Politeknik Brunei residents.

Additionally, Labi Primary School and Labi Chung Hwa School, in collaboration with the Kampung Labi Satu and Labi Dua Consultative Council in the Belait District, held a National Flag Hoisting Ceremony. The event was attended by Yang Berhormat Awang Mohammad bin Abdullah, a Member of the Legislative Council.
