MANILA: AJ Wacan and Johanna Uyking topped their respective divisions in the 13-15 category in the ICTSI Junior PGT Mindanao Series 2 at the South Pacific Golf and Leisure Estates in Davao City on Thursday.
Wacan finished with a 72 for a total of 238 to claim victory in the boys’ division. Alexis Nailga placed second at 240 after a 79 followed by Joaquin Pasquil at 269 after a 90.
Uyking, on the other hand, carded an 82 for a total of 239 to clinch the girls’ title. Zero Plete had an 84 for second place at 245 while Rose Wacan finished with an 83 for third at 252.
Wacan and Uyking secured back-to-back titles after winning the Apo leg last week in the four-leg regional series sponsored by ICTSI and organized by Pilipinas Golf Tournaments, Inc.
The top two from each age division, including boys’ and girls’ 8-9, 10-12, 13-15, and 16-18 categories, will advance to the JPGT Match Play Championship at the Country Club in Laguna on Oct. 1-4, along with the other qualifiers from the Luzon and Visayas series.

nwhile, Del Monte will stage the third leg from Aug. 6 to 9, with the regional series concluding at Pueblo de Oro Golf and Country Club in Cagayan de Oro from Aug. 12 to 15.
