Water Supply Restoration Progresses in Brunei Muara District

Brunei: Urgent repair work on the main pipe in Kampung Batang Mitus has led to the current recovery phase of the clean water supply to most of the Brunei Muara District.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the Ministry of Development announced in a press release that several areas, including Berakas, Lambak Kanan, Jalan Pasir Berakas, and others, have already received water supply. Meanwhile, the distribution from other tanks is ongoing and is being expedited.

The Public Works Department advises the public with private tanks to perform flushing work to maintain cleanliness. Additionally, the department, in collaboration with other government bodies like the Fire and Rescue Team, is conducting flushing work at designated locations to stabilize pressure and ensure water quality is satisfactory.

The Ministry of Development expressed gratitude for the collaboration of various agencies, including the Ministry of Defence, National Disaster Management Centre, and many others, as well as volunteers and community members who have contributed to this effort. The ministry also appreciates the public's patience, cooperation, and support during this situation, highlighting the unity displayed by all involved parties.
