Bandar seri begawan: Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD, is hosting the 6th ASEAN University Network, AUN, for Technology-Enhanced Personalised Learning Symposium. The event brings together educators, researchers, and institutional leaders from across the AUN Plus 3 region to discuss ethical, inclusive personalized learning with technology. The symposium is being held at the Chancellor's Hall, UBD, and will continue until the 4th of June, focusing on AI Ethics in Personalised Learning. The event is organized by UBD in collaboration with the Singapore Management University, Universiti Malaya, Mahidol University, and the University of the Philippines Diliman, as part of the Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition, MYCE 2026.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Professor Dr Haji Noor Azam Orang Kaya Maha Bijaya Haji Othman, UBD Deputy Vice-Chancellor, described the platform as an important driver of regional collaboration in higher education. The two-day symposium serves as a regional platform for knowledge exchange, practical learning, and collaboration on how Artificial Intelligence, AI, is shaping personalized learning environments. Discussions have addressed several important issues, including data privacy, algorithmic bias, transparency, equitable access, academic integrity, and the responsible use of new technologies in higher education.
