Bandar seri begawan: Active weather conditions are forecasted to persist in Brunei Darussalam until December 10, coinciding with the country’s Northeast Monsoon season, which typically lasts until March 2026. Showers, occasionally heavy and thundery, are expected to affect several areas of the country, especially during the afternoon and at night, with potential to continue until early morning.
According to Radio Television Brunei, wind gusts could reach up to 45 kilometers per hour during or near heavy and thundery showers. Over Brunei’s waters, sea conditions are generally moderate, with wave heights ranging between 1 and 1.8 meters. The weather conditions pose a high risk of flash floods, particularly in low-lying and flood-prone areas, as well as near riverbanks during periods of continuous heavy rain and high tide. There is also a risk of landslides, fallen trees, and blown-off roofs.
