Maragang beach: In conjunction with World Oceans Day, the Fisheries Department, Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, in collaboration with Poni Divers, organized a Beach Cleaning Campaign at Maragang Beach. This significant environmental effort was part of the activities for Brunei Ocean Week.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the campaign saw the involvement of various participants, including Awang Haji Mohd Yusree bin Haji Junaidi, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism. The participants worked diligently to collect over 900 kilograms of marine debris, predominantly consisting of plastic waste. This initiative underscores the ongoing commitment to preserving marine environments and raising awareness about the impact of plastic pollution on oceans.
