Bandar seri begawan: This year, Brunei Darussalam will once again participate in the 49th Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Programme (SSEAYP), sending a contingent of 16 youths and a head of contingent. The program will host 181 youths from 11 nations.

According to Radio Television Brunei, a preview of the national cultural performance was held on the afternoon of January 10th. The Brunei contingent's performance will be showcased during reception ceremonies in several stopover countries and will serve as the country's introductory activity aboard the Nippon Maru ship. Present at the preview was Awang Haji Mohamad Rosfazilah bin Haji Yusly, Acting Director of Youth and Sports.

Earlier, an appreciation certificate and souvenir presentation ceremony took place to honor the sponsors of Brunei's contingent for SSEAYP 2025. The annual program will last for 34 days, beginning on January 15th in Tokyo, Japan, with stopovers in several ASEAN countries, and concluding in Thailand.
