In conjunction with the International Day of Older Persons, several locations in the country were illuminated with gold-coloured lights.

The lights were lit up at Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Bridge and iconic buildings such as Brunei Energy Hub Dermaga Diraja and Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium as part of Brunei Darussalam’s effort to support and enliven the celebration which is held every 1st of October.
