Informed Society Programme Highlights Food Safety Awareness in Brunei

Bandar seri begawan: Food safety aspects in line with the International Food Safety Day 2026 celebration, aimed at raising awareness on the importance of a food safety culture involving all parties, were among the focus of the Informed Society Programme for the Food and Beverage Sector. Organised by the Information Department through the Public Relations Unit, Nationhood and Community Section, Strategic Communications Division, in collaboration with Brunei Darussalam Food Authority, the opening ceremony of the programme took place on 8th June morning at the Information Department.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the two-day programme is attended by over 50 participants, comprising officers and staff from government-linked companies (GLC), private companies, and higher education institutions in the Food and Beverage Sector in Brunei Darussalam. The initiative aims to equip participants with the knowledge, experience, and exposure necessary to share with the community, fostering individuals who are informed, responsible, and sensitive to current issues that contribute to the well-being of society and national development.
