Khatam Al-Qur’an Ceremony Marks National Day Celebration Across Brunei

Bandar seri begawan: The 42 times Khatam Al-Qur'an ceremony, held as a side event in conjunction with the 42nd National Day celebration, took place simultaneously across all districts on the morning of March 10th. The event saw participation from over 1,400 individuals, including students from higher education institutions, youth associations, mosque youths, the Wargamas Association, and members of the Senior Citizens Activity Centre.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony in Brunei Muara District was held at Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, Kampung Kiarong, where Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, led the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah. In Belait District, the event took place at RPN Kampung Pandan Mosque, Kuala Belait, attended by Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs.

In Tutong District, the Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam Mosque in Kampung Sengkarai served as the venue, with the presence of Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Sulaiman bin Alidin, Commissioner of Police, Royal Brunei Police Force. Meanwhile, in Temburong District, the ceremony was held at RPN Kampung Rataie Mosque, attended by Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
