?The increasingly changing state of the planet and inhabitants as well as emotional imbalances were highlighted during the fourth; fifth and sixth sessions of the Knowledge Convention Seminar. Discussing the sub-theme “Mental Health and the Environment”, the seminar took place on 2nd October morning, at the International Convention Centre in Berakas.
The working paper was delivered by Professor Doctor Shukran bin Abdul Rahman, Dean of Kuliah Ilmu Pengetahuan Berteraskan Wahyu dan Sains Kemanusiaan, Abdul Hamid Abu Sulayman, Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia. Among those present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Defence.
Associate Professor Doctor Shaikh Abdul Mabud, from UBD delivered a working paper titled “‘Body-Mind Dualism Or Somatic-Psychological Unification: Understanding Human Nature Through Science And Religion'”, that shared on the exploration of d
ifferent perspectives namely mind-body dualism and somatic-psychological unification through bio-medical and Islamic approaches.
An individual’s mental and physical health was discussed in the working paper titled ‘Perubahan Persekitaran Dan Kesihatan Mental” by Associate Professor Doctor Muhamad Zahiri bin Awang Mat, Faculty of Education, KUPU SB.
