Brunei: The Launching of Al-Qur'an Reading for the 80 times Khatam Al-Qur'an Ceremony by Members of the Mukim and Village Consultative Councils, alongside students from schools and higher education institutions nationwide, took place in conjunction with the 80th Birthday Celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. The ceremony, which was held on the afternoon of April 2nd, saw the participation of 1,708 individuals and was conducted simultaneously across all districts. In the Brunei Muara District, the event occurred at Jame' Asr' Hassanil Bolkiah, Kampung Kiarong.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony was attended by several prominent figures, including Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs; Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd. Salleh, Minister of Education; and Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs. The event served as an expression of gratitude for Allah's blessings in maintaining Brunei Darussalam's peace and prosperity under the leadership of His Majesty.
