Bandar seri begawan: The first school term session commenced for 2026 across all government and private primary and secondary schools, as well as colleges and sixth form centres under the Ministry of Education. This also includes religious and Arabic schools under the Ministry of Religious Affairs. As part of the commencement activities, Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education, conducted visits to several schools in the country.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the minister's visits aimed to observe the implementation of activities and initiatives in conjunction with the new school term. The Ministry of Education emphasized the importance of attendance, urging parents and guardians to ensure their children participate in school sessions to prevent any disruption in their learning journey.
