Bandar seri begawan: His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received in audience Her Excellency Caryn Roberta McClelland, the outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Brunei Darussalam. During the meeting, His Royal Highness expressed appreciation for Her Excellency’s efforts in strengthening the longstanding relations and cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the United States.
According to Radio Television Brunei, during Ambassador McClelland’s tenure, both countries enhanced cooperation in various sectors, including defence, education, trade and investment, and people-to-people exchanges. The audience ceremony, marking the end of Her Excellency’s diplomatic mission, took place at Istana Nurul Izzah on the afternoon of June 20th.
Her Excellency Caryn Roberta McClelland presented her Letter of Credence to His Majesty on May 24, 2022, marking the beginning of her service as ambassador.
