Bandar seri begawan: The Malay Islamic Monarchy philosophy underscores the influence of spiritual traditions on governance, culture, and society today. His Excellency Doctor Tamer Mansy, the High Commissioner of Canada to Brunei Darussalam, highlighted this during a public talk titled "An Exploration of Islam's Journey to Brunei Darussalam." The event, organised by the High Commission of Canada in Brunei Darussalam with the support of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), took place at 'Ruang Bicara Minda' in the UBD Library.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Doctor Mansy also stressed the importance of this philosophy in promoting mutual respect and enhancing international partnerships. The talk, delivered by Doctor Haji Md Rozan bin Dato Paduka Haji Md Yunos, focused on Brunei's historical role in the regional dissemination of Islam and its relevance within Southeast Asian history. The event was attended by approximately 60 participants.
