Government House, The Prime Minister discussed with the founders of the AI ??Fund company about cooperation in using AI to drive growth in Thailand's economy, tourism, education and public health sectors. Mr. Settha Thavisin, Prime Minister, met with executives of Kasikornbank, Kasikorn Business-Technology Group (KBTG), and Mr. Andrew Ng, Executive Director of Amazon.com, Inc. and founder of AI Fund, on the occasion of his visit to Thailand to attend 'KBTG Techtopia 2024,' a forum for exchanging views on AI from leading experts from Thailand and around the world. After the discussion, Mr. Chai Wachirong, spokesman for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed the gist as follows: The Prime Minister is pleased to have a discussion with Mr. Andrew Ng, which is an important opportunity to discuss cooperation in the use of AI technology. The government emphasizes the use of AI technology to drive Thailand's growth in the economy, tourism, education, and public health. He hopes that Mr. Andrew Ng will join in shari ng experiences in AI tomorrow to create awareness for Thai people and those interested in attending the event to better understand the potential and problems of AI. Mr. Andrew Ng expressed his gratitude for the welcome from the government and was pleased to have the opportunity to discuss cooperation in AI with Thailand.
