Mukim berakas 'a': The Department of Immigration and National Registration has conducted 'Operasi Kakas', an enforcement operation targeting rental houses in Mukim Berakas 'A'. The operation resulted in two foreign nationals being sentenced to imprisonment and whipping after they pleaded guilty under the Immigration Act, Chapter 17.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Jais Turino, a 32-year-old male Indonesian citizen, received a sentence of 7 months imprisonment along with 3 strokes of whipping. Another Indonesian citizen, 47-year-old Abdul Khamid, was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment and 3 strokes of whipping. Both sentences commenced on the 3rd of March 2026.
