Budapest: At the sideline of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s State Visit to Hungary, a Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Consultations was signed between the Government of His Majesty and the Government of Hungary. The Memorandum of Understanding aims to institutionalise bilateral consultations and exchanges of views on issues of mutual interest to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the pursuit of common goals. Also present were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy.

According to Radio Television Brunei, signing on behalf of the Government of His Majesty was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs, while the Government of Hungary was represented by His Excellency P©ter Szijj¡rt³, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
