Bandar seri begawan: The sighting of the new moon of Syawal for 1447 Hijrah is scheduled to take place nationwide on Thursday, 19th of March. Syarie judges and officers from the Syariah Courts, State Judiciary Department, Prime Minister's Office, as well as officers from the Survey Department, Ministry of Development, will be stationed at several designated locations to carry out this important task.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the designated locations in the Brunei Muara District include the Mutiara Exchange building in Tungku Highway, Tanjung Batu Recreational Park in Kampong Sabun, Muara Town, and Bukit Agok in Jerudong. In the Tutong District, the sighting will occur at Bukit Ambog Hilal Building, while in the Belait District, it will take place at Bukit Lumut Hilal Building. The public is advised to refrain from approaching these locations during the moon sighting.
