Total Lunar Eclipse Observed Across Multiple Continents

Brunei darussalam: Citizens and residents in the country were able to witness the Total Lunar Eclipse on the night of 3rd March. This astronomical event occurs when the Moon passes into the Earth's shadow, causing the Moon to take on a deep red hue.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the phenomenon was visible in the evening across Australia and eastern Asia, including Brunei Darussalam. It continued overnight throughout the Pacific and was seen at dawn in North and Central America, as well as in the far western parts of South America. Although the initial penumbral and partial phases were not visible locally, the eclipse could be observed once the Moon rose in partial eclipse, leading into the full phase of totality.

This celestial event holds particular significance as it coincides with Ramadhan. It is the last total lunar eclipse before the next one, which is set to occur from the 31st of December 2028 to the 1st of January 2029. This future eclipse is also expected to be visible from Brunei Darussalam.
